The structure
Sustainability is a very broad and complex term which, in architecture, is linked not only to the use of natural materials but also to good build quality, which leads to energy savings, for example.
These points must be considered from the design of the structure to the origin of the materials used in the finishes. And when we talk about structure, we mean the skeleton of the building, which most commonly uses masonry with a reinforced concrete frame, the way almost all buildings in Brazil are built.
It is certainly time to change this and build in a more industrialised way, which means much less waste and fewer construction errors. There are several options on the market that suit our climate and reality perfectly: modular construction, prefabricated construction or framed structures such as light steel frame and wood frame, which already have several suppliers.
Our studio is fully dedicated to this way of designing and building, which, besides giving clients superior build quality, is by far the most sustainable and cost-effective way to deliver good architecture.

How the system works
Light steel frame uses light galvanised steel profiles for the structure and industrialised boards for internal and external walls, from cement boards and plasterboard to composite panels with special fibres.
One of the system's main features is how fast it is to assemble. As an industrialised model, with standardised components made under quality control, its build quality far exceeds that of traditional construction, with high strength. The method became popular in countries with advanced construction technology, such as Chile, Spain and Canada, also because it is environmentally sustainable.
