Restaurants — and food and wine venues

About

Architecture for bars and restaurants that bring guests back

Spaces that invite guests to stay and make them want to come back.

In restaurants, design must humanise and communicate. Lighting, materials, acoustics and layout work together to create atmosphere, organise operations from kitchen to dining room and strengthen the venue's identity.

01

Layout and operations, from kitchen to dining room

A beautiful restaurant also has to work. The layout organises the waiters' routes, the relationship between kitchen, bar and dining room, and seating capacity, without sacrificing comfort.

Offering different types of seating, such as communal tables, high counters, lounges and private rooms, serves different guests and occasions in the same venue, from a quick lunch to a group dinner.

02

Wine room and wine bar design

In a wine venue, the wine room is part of the decor and the experience. The design defines how bottles are displayed and lit, where storage and serving equipment goes, and how guests move around and choose their wine.

The same language appears in corporate spaces, such as the Grupo +B boardroom with its visible wine wall. See our corporate projects.

03

Lighting, acoustics and brand identity

Lighting changes how a space feels throughout the day and brings out food, drinks and materials. Acoustics keep conversation flowing even when the venue is full.

Colours, materials and furniture reinforce the restaurant's identity, so guests recognise the brand in every detail.

How your restaurant project works

Every project is closely managed by our team, led by architect Patrícia Chimiti:

  1. An initial conversation about the concept, menu, target guests, operations and budget.
  2. A layout and ambience study with 3D images.
  3. Construction documents detailing joinery, lighting and finishes, coordinated with the engineering disciplines.
  4. Specification of materials, finishes and furniture.

What does a restaurant design include?

We design the dining room and bar layout, ambience, lighting, joinery, finishes and furniture, planned together with kitchen operations and the brand identity.

Do you design wine rooms?

Yes. The Wine in Belém has climate-controlled wine cabinets, bottle walls and a glass-walled private room. The Grupo +B boardroom also features a visible wine wall.

Do you work with restaurants outside Florianópolis?

Yes. The Wine and Villa Plaza Restaurante are in Belém. Talk to our team about your project, wherever it is.

How do I start my restaurant project?

Talk to our team on WhatsApp or through the contact form. In the first conversation we learn about the concept, the venue and the timeline, and explain the next steps.
